Features:
1) Melting snow on roads: spraying solution with calcium chloride
(CaCl2) on the road surface. Melting snow and thawing
ice in winter and lessen dust in summer
2) Mining: uses the calcium chloride in the coal mine to prevent the coal
dust explosion and silicosis
3) Application in making cement: plus CaCl2 in firing processing
of cement to lower burning temperature by 1,400 - 1,500°C and
increase output about 50% with reducing fuel consumption at 30 - 40%
4) Application in construction: The calcium chloride may accelerate hardening
and coagulates of concrete and improve ability of cold resistant (calcium
chloride put into concrete<0.5% cannot rust steel bar)
5) Anti-freezing: the solidification point of CaCl2 is lower.
It can be served in freezing technology as antifreeze for automobile and
aircraft
6) Making iodine from kelp: CaCl2 may serve also as
concreting solution to make iodine. Making iodine each ton will produce
about 60 - 70 metric tons of alga-acid-sodium as byproduct. But each ton
of alga-acid-sodium needs CaCl2 2 - 2.5 metric tons
7) Metallurgy industry: to purify non-ferrous metal such as zinc and lean ore
slag in smelting by using of CaCl2
8) Petroleum industry: The calcium chloride (CaCl2) can be
used in desiccant by hydrocarbon and petroleum drilling as well as
solidifying agent in order to enhance petroleum extraction. On repairing
of oil well, CaCl2 can be used also in drilling slurry and the
repairing slurry to oil wells
9) Function for agricultural: Spraying solution with 1% CaCl2
onto growing wheat to prevent from lodging can increase yield of wheat
by 5% and improve saline fields. It also can be used as additive in feedstuff
